Played 15 years in the major leagues with the Dodgers and Seattle Mariners. Provided the Dodgers with one of the finest defensive catchers in baseball for 14 years (1972-85). Played in four World Series while a member of the Dodgers and was named tri-MVP with Pedro Guerrero and Ron Cey in the '81 Series. Also played in six league championship series as a member of the Dodgers. Tied major league record for most putouts in an extra inning game for a catcher (22) on Auguts 8, 1972 (19 innings). Is the nephew of retired Air Force Brigadier General Chuck Yeager, the first man to break the sound barrier. Has acted in and was technical advisor for several movies including "Major League." Rejoined the Dodger organization as a minor league coach at Single A San Bernardino in 1999 and has managed the Long Beach Breakers of the West Coast Independent League for the last few years.
